				      <description>University Recreation will once again offer their popular youth climbing program “Kids Rock!” &#8212; an introduction to rock climbing offering encouragement while teaching the fundamentals of the sport. 

&#39;Kids Rock!&#39; is held each Sunday, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the CWU indoor Climbing Wall located in the Student Union and Recreation Center. The cost is $$8 a week for children (ages six to 12) of Recreation Center members and $$12 for children of non&#8212;members. Participants can come once or return every week and must be accompanied by a guardian or appointed adult.

This program is open to members of the community. Every new participant must sign a climbing wall permission waiver, which can be found at the Recreation Center front desk or by calling 963&#8212;3512.

				      <description>Looking for a fun and exciting adventure for your kids this summer&#63; CWU Outdoor Pursuits and Rentals (OPR) will host their summer adventure camp for area youth, ages 12 to 15, every Thursday, from July 15 through August 26, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Campers can sign up for one week, or all seven. Admission is $$35 per day and is open to the public.

Some of the activities offered to participants of the adventure camp include, horse back riding, rafting the Yakima River, climbing the CWU Rock Wall, testing personal limits on the CWU Challenge Course and mountain climbing, just to name a few. Campers will also learn wilderness survival basics, water safety and the basics of campsite building.

				      <description>The US Forest Service is offering guided nature walks in the Snoqualmie Pass area this summer. 

Gold Creek Pond&#8212;&#8212;regular walk on Sundays. This one mile loop is a barrier&#8212;free trail suitable for all ages. The walk lasts about 90 minutes, and explores wildlife, plants, and how restoration efforts are ongoing. Check in at the Snoqualmie Pass Information Center at 12:15.

Twin Lakes&#8212;&#8212;regular walk on alternating Saturdays. The walk is two miles round&#8212;trip on a hiker trail, and participants learn about the unique forest along the Cascade crest. Check in at 9:45.

Kids in the Woods&#8212;&#8212;family activities at Gold Creek Pond every other Saturday. One program is about animals, and the other features trees and a scavenger hunt.
